ePadPro Coding Rules
This list presents a brief introduction to the application developer who develops applications for ePadPro device of Interlink Electronics. These rules are intended to ensure that applications developed originally for the ePadPro and ePadInk devices, will also properly function with the ePadLS device.
Coding Rules:
-
1. After the OpenConnection() call, the application should be rendering the bitmap or writing the text to the device before enabled the inking area. Once enabled the inking region may cause other communication commands, such as SetEncryption, SetReportRate etc, to be blocked. Once the inking region is active (Region.bEnabled = 1), the valid operations are only obtain pen-data and disable the inking region.
-
2. The IWedge Interface is no longer supported in ePadLS, (the method for rendering bitmaps and text are different within the application layer than the method used in ePad-ink). This is a fundamental change resulting in a greatly improved overall performance.
